In 2011, we live in a fast paced World. If you ride BMX, and are either sponsored, or are looking to get sponsored, you will need to do more than just Barspins and Tailwhips to make a mark. With Facebook and Twitter running the Internet along with Youtube and Vimeo, getting yourself out there is not only easy, it is also crucial if you want to stay in the game. My suggestion to Riders out there is to get some basic tools needed to kick ass. A good laptop computer with basic video editing software, a DSLR camera and a decent HD Video Camera is what you will need. Then you wont ever have to use the excuse of..."Man, I did the sickest line ever yesterday that has never been done before, but I didnt get it on film"
I have always just done things myself and created media because then there is no excuse. Have fun with it. Ride your bike, film, shoot photos, edit, Blog, Tweet, Facebook, answer emails, its all part of BMX these days and maybe you will realize you really love filming or shooting photos to broaden your Horizons.
